History made right!

While I was in Boise for five weeks, I was privileged to help a dear friend put together a scrapbook of pictures that honored Lt. Vernon Baker, the last living World War II, African-American that earned the Congressional Medal of Honor. Fifty-two years after his heroics on the battlefield, President Bill Clinton gave him the medal he earned.....history made right and America clearing its conscience. How far we have come from the horrible prejudice that inflicted such injustice in a nation built on equality, but withholding it for such a long time for so many. Perhaps the hypocrisy is coming to an end and we are making great strides in what I call internal terrorism. Mr. Baker now lives in St. Maries, Idaho.
