In my lifetime!

This election was momentous.....not in terms of red states and blue states, Republican and Democrats, but in terms of the historical progress this country has made on human kinship......acceptance of human beings as leaders regardless of skin color or gender.

In my mother's life time....women were granted the right to vote. (80 years ago) In my life time...segregation ended and the oppressive terrorism of racism and sexism began to diminish. (50 years ago)

When you read the history of segregation and the history of the sufferagettes fight to earn the right to vote....it gives new meaning to the slogans of both parties....YES, WE CAN.....and COUNTRY FIRST!

Pay attention, youngsters.....you just saw a giant pivot point that will change the constipated mentality of many! Youth of America, first time voters were a huge part of this 2008 election. It was a long time coming and here it is. I intend to continue to pray for our country, our new president and his family and be a continuing part of making this world a better place to live. It's our country.....YES WE CAN....it's about equality and human kinship!
