A Christmas poem for you!

To be joyful in this universe,

Is a brave and reckless act.

When courage bubbles up within,

Despite the proven fact.

Surprised by hope and faithful love.

I much prefer to celebrate,

With bold return of cynic’s gaze

Embrace our space to co-create.

The news across our sphere is harsh.

With strange and tortured guilt.

See the path through traveled time

Patchwork colors of history’s quilt.

Despite the sorrows amid the din,

Of wars and bombed out rubble,

The human spirit reaches in….

Soothes hearts still filled with trouble,

Astonished at the treasured find,

No matter how love seemed so lost.

Discover possibilities yet untried.

Sweet harbored wishes, not counted cost.

Be thoughtful, brave and mighty bold,

And love with all your might,

This earth’s dark corners need your heart,

Your courage, hope and light.

Love is the light by which we dream,

Breathe in the passion so alive.

This earth a’spin with radiant glow,

Surprising place to live and thrive.

Create the light with words and deeds,

Encourage and touch with powerful grace.

Be of good cheer and boldly go,

With measured steps and quickened pace.

May peace on earth take you joyous places,

Where you can give your gift.

Whether home inside your sacred walls,

Or grand mountain top or sea adrift,

Make the world a better place,

I wish you joy in all you do,

So, when you’re done and journey’s ore,

You’ve given all that’s truly you.

Joye
