The totally dirt loving, sunshine worshiping, seed planting, flower arranging meanderings of a poet and artist granny that can't get enough of growing things.
An avid gardener, painter, poet... expanding the boundaries, planting seeds with great faith, appreciating the abundance of the harvest... embracing all the lessons from the garden, the page and the paint brush....it's all about growing.

The crispness of the morning air and the slight turn of color at the very top of the trees has me thinking about hibernating in sweaters soon. But first, the dance of the leaves, the carving of the pumpkins, the wreath on the door! May the great pumpkin sit on your doorstep!
"Remember God's bounty in the year. String the pearls of His favor. Hide the dark parts, except so far as they are breaking out in light! Give this one day to thanks, to joy, to gratitude!" ~Henry Ward Beecher
And so, this Sunday, after helping Amanda and Mystie can 35 quarts of pears, and I made 16 jars of pear butter......I give thanks that Grandma cleaned up the kitchen!
